Item Description:The First Presbyterian Church, East State Street near Broad, Trenton, N. J., was formed in 1712 and has been the mother of many churches in this area. Its historic graveyard contains the graves of many veterans of the American Revolution. The present edifice is the third building of the organization and was erected in 1839. The Church has been officially designated as "The Capital Church of the Synod of New Jersey."
