Description
Item Description:Atop the Great Divide and overlooking Royal Gorge, in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, eighteen miles east of Asheville, North Carolina, is one of the Southern Baptist's two Summer Assemblies. (The other Assembly is at Glorieta, New Mexico, established 1952). The grounds cover 1900 acres on which grow more than 600 species of flora. Handsome buildings and numerous attractive cottages add charm to the particularly inviting location. Ridgecrest Camp for Boys and Crestridge Camp for Girls, a part of Southern Baptist's program convenes for two five-week sessions on these same grounds
