| Item Description: | In 1853 the United Methodist Church of Lincoln, Illinois was organized. Temporary meeting places were used until the brick church was built. On June 20, 1926 the present edifice was dedicated. The interior was destroyed by fire on September 24, 1970. It was rebuilt within the original walls and dedicated on May 7, 1972 |
