Description
Item Description:126 E. Chestnut Street. Here is another one of many magnificent Chicago Churches where the rich traditional beauty of a Schulmerich "Coronation"* Carillon rings out each day. This "Carillonic Bells"* instrument with its 25 bell two full chromatic octave range, provides the tonal equivalent of 79, 462 lbs. of perfectly tuned cast bronze bells with a Bourdon of 6 1/2 tons. The bells are played manually from a keyboard at the organ console and the daily programs are provided automatically by means of a clock-controlled Schulmerich "Auto-Bell"* automatic roll player using plastic rolls
