Description
Item Description:The Congregational Church, Old Lyme, is a famous example of early New England architecture. It is a replica of the building which was destroyed by fire in 1907. The designer of the original structure was Samuel Belcher, an American architect who it is said adapted freely plans of Sir Christopher Wren. "The Old Lyme Church" has been painted and etched by many artisans, and copied in whole or in part by many builders
