Summary: | Faith in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the hope for the resurrection for all mankind, belong at the core of the Christian faith, and they are clearly attested to in the writings of the New Testament. Since its foundation in 1965, Concilium has printed three editions dedicated to the subject of the resurrection: edition 60 (1970), Immortality and Resurrection; edition 249 (1993) Reincarnation or Resurrection?; and edition 318 (2006), The Resurrection of the Dead. By comparing the similarities and differences between these past editions, the contribution that this new edition of Concilium can offer becomes clear. In particular, this issue has a focus on new and contemporary problems and perspectives (both disciplinary and cultural), while subjects of universal relevance also receive attention.--Adapted from Editorial |
