Résumé: | Community life is a source which nourishes resistance and non-violence in populations, and the Chatino people are an example of this. Despite the adversity of the conditions in which they live, they understand how to marshal their energy into confronting the challenges they currently face. It is important not to view conflict only through the lens of ethnicity or spirituality, but to understand that political theology allows us to form a better understanding of the importance of processes such as resistance and non-violence. Indigenous theology analogises bible stories with Chatino ones, and in doing so, it fortifies processes which favour peace and life within their communities. |
