Description
Summary:The paper focuses on the vital role of Catholic universities in advancing interreligious dialogue in Indonesia: what has been done and what more must be developed. It includes establishing infrastructure for promoting mutual respect and cooperation among students, faculty, and people from different cultural and religious backgrounds. Indonesia is a diverse country with a myriad of religions and beliefs. This diversity is a source of cultural richness and a challenge to interreligious dialogue. This study recommends that Catholic universities build centers for interreligious dialogue to benefit society within the context of cultural and religious traditions. This paper concludes by emphasising the importance of interreligious dialogue for universities to form people equipped to navigate their coexistence in an increasingly diverse world and promote greater diversity and inclusion within the university community.
