Description
Summary:This article argues that black and white Calvinists in South Africa will not, in their use of Scripture, move closer to a solution for their differences from a fundamentalist stance. A (black) clinging to the Exodus-story does not gain on a (white) fixation on Genesis 10. The article offers as a step towards a solution a willingness from both sides to share in each other's experience as an extra-Biblical enterprise, and then to develop metaphors from the Bible to guide this joint experience.
