Sumario:This article presents a concept of comparative philosophy from the perspective of Chinese philosophy. Its primary task is to grasp the respective subjectivity of different philosophies in their independent philosophical-historical and cultural contexts. On this premise, it opens up a space for mutual explanation and understanding of philosophies and thus embodies the character of a philosophy that connects the world. The juxtaposition of cultures that delimit themselves as "others " is to be transformed into a relationship of "I and Thou" in order to form a thinking that connects both sides in a direct I-Thou dialog, which at the same time preserves their differences. By offering a point of convergence for philosophical histories and world civilizations, fundamental questions can be posed anew as common ones and creative paths of understanding can be taken with innovative methods, concepts and objectives. By presupposing the subjectivity of different philosophies, it opens up bipolar and multipolar spaces of encounter in which the ontological and epistemological gap between cultures can be overcome in an understanding way. If the comparison of philosophies is placed in a context of dialog between independent philosophies, a philosophical and cultural togetherness can emerge and thus embody an urgent desideratum of our time.
