| Summary: | This article first traces the origins of the notion "the work of our redemption" (opus nostrae redemptionis), which emphatically appears in the second paragraph of Sacrosanctum Concilium. The Council's first quote is from a liturgical prayer from the classical Roman missal, which happens to have more ancient roots in the Sacramentarium Veronense. This same source is currently not inserted once but twice in the most recent versions of the Roman Missal. All of this shows that liturgy and soteriology are intrinsically connected. The question is, however, whether this theological and magisterial statement is also reflected in the liturgy of the Eucharist itself. Therefore, in a second phase, a careful semantic survey is presented of where and how the concepts of redemption and salvation occur in the Ordo Missae. On the basis of that exercise one can conclude that, regarding the crucial matter of God’s plan of salvation culminating in Christ's mission, there is indeed a significant amount of correspondence between the lex credendi and lex orandi of the Church. Cet article retrace d'abord les origines de la notion "d'oeuvre de notre rédemption" (opus nostrae redemptionis), qui apparaît avec insistance dans le deuxième paragraphe de Sacrosanctum Concilium. La première citation du Concile est tirée d'une prière liturgique du Missel romain classique, qui se trouve avoir des racines plus anciennes dans le Sacramentarium Veronense. Cette même source est actuellement insérée non pas une mais deux fois dans les versions les plus récentes du Missel romain. Tout cela montre que la liturgie et la sotériologie sont intrinsèquement liées. La question est toutefois de savoir si cette affirmation théologique et magistérielle se reflète également dans la liturgie de l'Eucharistie elle-même. C'est pourquoi, dans un deuxième temps, une étude sémantique minutieuse est présentée pour déterminer où et comment les concepts de rédemption et de salut apparaissent dans l'Ordo Missae. Sur la base de cet exercice, on peut conclure que, en ce qui concerne la question cruciale du plan de salut de Dieu culminant dans la mission du Christ, il y a effectivement une correspondance significative entre la lex credendi et la lex orandi de l'Église. |
