| Summary: | The article briefl y presents some primary lines of the theology of the incarnation of the Word according to the vocabulary that the Doctor of the Church Anthony of Padua uses in his Work on the Gospels. To start with, the anti-Cathar function of the Antonian insistence on the mystery of the incarna)tion is highlighted. The dimensions of humility and poverty are then illustrated, central in the understanding of the Saint for the kenosis in the love of the Son of God. The redeeming dynamic of the "hiding" of the divinity in the fl esh is then presented, with an emphasis on the personal character of the incarnation, aimed at reconciliation between God and man through the mediation of Christ. After some examples of the images used by the Evangelical Doctor for the allegorical reading of the incarnation, the article concludes with a perspective on the question of the primacy of Christ as it emerges from the writings of the fi rst theology teacher of the Franciscan Order. L'articolo presenta brevemente alcune linee portanti della teologia dell'incarnazione del Verbo secondo le espressioni che il Dottore della Chiesa Antonio di Padova utilizza nella sua Opera sui Vangeli. Si evidenzia innanzitutto la funzione anticatara dell'insistenza antoniana sul mistero dell'incarnazione. Vengono illustrate quindi le dimensioni dell'umiltà e della povertà, fondamentali nella comprensione del Santo per la kenosi nell'amore del Figlio di Dio. È poi presentata la dinamica redentiva del "nascondimento" della divinità nella carne, con una sottolineatura del carattere relazionale dell'incarnazione, volta alla riconciliazione fra Dio e l'uomo attraverso la mediazione di Cristo. Dopo qualche saggio delle immagini impiegate dal Dottore evangelico per la lettura allegorica dell'incarnazione, l'articolo si conclude con una prospettiva sulla questione del primato di Cristo come emerge dagli scritti del primo insegnante di teologia dell'Ordine Francescano. |
