| Summary: | This paper tries to establish a forecast about the future studies that can be done about the relations between the Roman papacy and the Iberian Peninsula, especially about the studies of bulls and papal privileges. In the first place, a quite exhaustive review is made on the investigations carried out up to the present day on the pontifical documents related to Hispania. Possibilities for new work are offered below: search in various archives for new unknown documents, review of historiographical works from the 17th-18th centuries, review of existing documentary editions, study of pontifical letters not directly signed by the pope, and new electronic-editions of papal texts. |
