| Summary: | Au cours de ses fondations, Thérèse d'Avila a exercé un gouvernement et mis en place une structure de communion entre ses différentes fondations, la province des carmes déchaussés, érigée au chapitre d'Alcala en 1581. A partir de la documentation publiée, principalement les documents juridiques et la correspondance thérésienne, cet article étudie l'évolution du cadre juridique et institutionnel dans lequel Thérèse a exercé un gouvernement sur ses fondations depuis la seconde fondation de Medina del Campo (1567) jusqu'à sa mort (1582). En conclusion on réfléchit à la manière dont ce processus peut éclairer les récentes évolutions des structures des fédérations des carmélites déchaussées. During her foundations, Therese of Avila exercised a government and set up a structure of communion between her foundations, the province of discalced Carmelites, erected in the Chapter of Alcala in 1581. From the published documentation, mainly legal documents and Teresian correspondence, this article studies the evolution of the legal and institutional framework in which Therese governed her foundations from her second foundation of Medina del Campo (1567) to her death (1582). In conclusion, we reflect on how this process can shed light on the recent evolutions of the structures of the federations of the Discalced Carmelites. |
