Description
Summary:This essay considers several basic aspects of synodality: subsidiarity, trust, communication, co-responsibility, and communion On one hand subsidiarity assumes that each member of the community has a certain degree of autonomy in developing his or her functions, while on the other, that each is dependent on the Superior, which facilitates accomplishing his or her functions. To the extent that trust is created, developed, and reinforced, it makes the relationship of the superior to the members and the service of the community a true prophetic sign. Communication promotes communion between the superior and the members of the community. Co-responsibility makes each member of the Institute a true actor in building the Kingdom of God and the good of the community. Communion grounds the relationship of the superior with the community, as well as the relationship among the members of the Institute and their legitimate Superiors.
