Description
Summary:The question of authority and its transformations in the context of changing societies and cultures is at the center of a cultural and ecclesial debate that is linked to other key issues, such as liberty, identity, social relations, politics and governance, education, religion, and consecrated life itself. The crisis of democracy has prompted the necessity of reflecting on these transformations, which have also impacted consecrated life, in order to initiate new formative strategies to promote growth paths in autonomy, which is the basis of liberty and all forms of participation. In this essay, starting from the crisis of authority that has affected both civil and religious institutions, we consider how the authoritative responsibility of those who are called in the service of guiding and imparting vision to communities will need to be delineated, and how to qualify their training toward a generative leadership style that is able to address the challenges of complexity and change.
