Summary: | Cultural Encounters: A Journal for the Theology of Culture reached out to the Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Religion (DoSER). DoSER is a wing of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). One of DoSER's initiatives is the excellent Science for Semi naries program. The Institute for Cultural Engagement: New Wine, New Wineskins, which publishes Cultural Encounters, had the privilege of coordinating and overseeing a pilot program grant Multnomah Biblical Seminary received from AAAS and the Templeton Foundation back in 2014-2017. The aim of Science for Seminaries is to help seminaries prepare and train pastoral students with the help of scientific advisors and resources for effective ministry in our scientific age. The following interview draws attention to AAAS/DoSER's extensive and longstand ing work in the arena of technology, as well as the way it collaborates with faith communities through the Science for Seminaries project. Leif Castren,** who is a program associate at DoSER, provided the responses to CE's editor's questions on behalf of the DoSER team. |
