| Summary: | ¿Cómo ser cristiano y auténticamente negro? Esta pregunta guía estas reflexiones. Una de las principales tareas de los cristianos ha sido la de colocar y mantener los valores europeos en el centro de toda experiencia humana. De esta manera, el Dios de la vida y de la liberación que predican los cristianos se convierte en un dios opresor que defiende la anti-vida. Se hace necesaria la afirmación de un afrocentrismo, es decir, la colocación de Africa como horizonte y mirar todas las otras culturas desde esta óptica. En el proceso de conocimiento de la Biblia por parte de los esclavos negros, ésta constituyó una compañera de lucha y de esperanza en su búsqueda de liberación. Sin embargo, hay que reconocer que con el correr del tiempo la ideología del blanqueamiento ha llevado a la descentralizacion del componente africano y a una preocupación desmesurada por los aspectos europeos. En este contexto se requiere la recuperación de la hermenéutica bíblica de los predicadores negros, de forma que se recupere lo afroamericano en la lectura de la Biblia y se coopere a la recuperación de la memoria histórica y la reafirmación de la identidad cultural del pueblo afroamericano. How to be Christian and authentically african-american? This question provides a guide to these reflections. One of the principle tasks of the christians was to take on European values as the center of the total human experience. In this way, the God of the life and liberation which the Christian preached becomes an oppressing God who defends anti-life. The affirmation of an afrocentrism becomes a necessity; in other words, the faces is on Africa and all other cultures are see from the african viewpoint. As the African american became schooled in the Bible the biblical text constitued a companion in their struggle and their search for liberation. Nevertheles with the passage of time it is necessary to recognize that the imposition of the white ideology as being superior had ostracized the african component and brought about a disproporcionate preocupation for everything European. Given this background it is necessary to return to the biblical hermeneutic of the black preachers in orden to insert that which is afroamerican in the reading of the Bible and thus restore the historic memory and the affirmation of the identity of the African-america |
