The author studies in this article, the Hebrew root g’l as employed in the Pentateuch, keeping in mind the social -historic and literary contexts. This approximation will permit more than a «sterile” study of vocabulary, unearthing the profound and deeply liberating meaning that are configured in the semantic field of “redemption” / “rescue”. |
