| Summary: | In addition to the consideration of sacred texts and specific teachings, different ethical modes are used in religious ethical reflection, which in their great majority can be read as expressions of four different ethical perspectives: deontological and teleological perspectives, and perspectives focused on persons or situations. The article focuses on the discussion and degree of integration or use of the perspective of situation ethics in introductions on Christian ethics in use in Brazil and analyzes, in the set of other perspectives, its potential and role in the defense of minorities or situations considered exceptional. It can be concluded that the perspective of situation ethics, and to a lesser degree the perspective of personal ethics, are irreplaceable in the consideration of the principle of equity alongside the principle of equality which in turn has a resonance in the moral orientation to "love mercy" or "kindness" as a corrective or a way to qualify the practice of justice. |
