Summary: | Even 20 years after Dorothee Soelle's death and 55 years after the first Political Night Prayer (German: Politisches Nachtgebet), research on the Night Prayers is still largely lacking. In the following, I will first highlight the history and contents of the Political Night Prayers as well as Dorothee Soelle's role within them. In a second step, two of Soelle's texts that have at tracted particular attention will be discussed: her Creed and her Lord's Prayer, before a brief look at the aftermath of the Night Prayers follows. |
