Description
Summary:The article aims to investigate the possibility of contemplate an aesthetics of the incarnation rooted in Michel Henry’s reflections about flesh. The purpose is to attempt to read, in the light of phenomenology of immanence based on flesh revelatory role, artistic experience of Body Art, on the example of Marina Abramović’s Performance Art. Motivating the research is the belief that a reflection on the condition of the human being as an embodied being is important to grasp the potential of an art that places the artist’s body as protagonist of her works. The impossibility of reducing the artistic phenomenon to object emphasizes the need to contemplate a new logos through which art can be understood, a logos which is sensitive and carnal: an aesthetic logos.
