Der mit Hilfe von kanonischer Imagination durchgeführte Dialog zwischen der dezentralen Mahlzeit anlässlich von Purim in Esther 9 und dem zentralisierten eschatologischen Bankett in Jesaja 25,6-8 führt dazu, dass das Ideal einer zentralisierten Mahlfeier mit der Realität der dezentralen Purimfeier in der Diaspora in Einklang gebracht wird. 
520 |a This article draws upon cultural anthropology and intertextuality to explore the topic of (de-) centralized feasting in the HB/OT and how this maps onto religious feasting amidst Covid-19. A dialogue between the decentralized meal of Purim in Esther 9 and the centralized eschatological banquet in Isaiah 25,6–8 by means of dialogical imagination results in a reading that coordinates the ideal of centralized feasting with the diasporic reality of decentralized feasting in Purim.
