Der mit Hilfe von kanonischer Imagination durchgeführte Dialog zwischen der dezentralen Mahlzeit anlässlich von Purim in Esther 9 und dem zentralisierten eschatologischen Bankett in Jesaja 25,6-8 führt dazu, dass das Ideal einer zentralisierten Mahlfeier mit der Realität der dezentralen Purimfeier in der Diaspora in Einklang gebracht wird. This article draws upon cultural anthropology and intertextuality to explore the topic of (de-) centralized feasting in the HB/OT and how this maps onto religious feasting amidst Covid-19. A dialogue between the decentralized meal of Purim in Esther 9 and the centralized eschatological banquet in Isaiah 25,6–8 by means of dialogical imagination results in a reading that coordinates the ideal of centralized feasting with the diasporic reality of decentralized feasting in Purim. |
