| Riepilogo: | For over 40 years the „Zeitschrift für Katholische Theologie“ was for Karl Rahner not just the place for the first publication of theological ideas, but also the place for honing his skills as editor and redactor. Twice he was the general editor, from summer 1938 tili fall 1939, and again from summer 1949 tili 1950. Among the correspondence of the editor some of his letters are preserved. They contain valuable information concerning his way of editing the journal, but also conceming his views on the relation between written Statements and his work as a teacher. He is not a writer who basically reads from his own works, but rather an immediate witness who uses the help of written material. This side of his personality is a necessary complement for the proper understanding of his written and printed body of thought. |
