Description
Summary:Germany and the Collegium Germanicum et Hungaricum in Rome from the long 19th century to 1935" - The relationship between Germany and the Collegium Germanicum et Hungaricum was dominated in the long 19th century (Jesuit Law) and after 1935 (fight against the catholic church) by domestic policy. Only in the time of the Republic of Weimar the Collegium was discovered as "german institute", with which the Germanism in Rome should be supported. For that reason both German ambassies in Rome helped the Germanicum in its troubles with the Governatore di Roma, who tried to dispossess a part of the college.
