| Summary: | The palimpsest bifolium Sin., CPA NF Frg. 7, fols. 5/6 published here presents itself as a large fragment with a smaller detached one. The under-neath text could be identified with the first part of the martyrdom of Sts Proklos and Hilarios - ca 249-251 AD, during the reign of the Roman emperor Trajan Decius. The Christian Palestinian Aramaic text is written in an early uncial (5th to 7th cent.) and depends on a longer lost Greek model. The Passio is now attested for the first time in an Aramaic translation. It belongs to the New Finds made in the Monastery of St Catherine on Mount Sinai in 1975. Le bifeuillet palimpseste Sinaï, CPA NF Frg. 7, f. 5/6 publié ici se présente comme un grand fragment avec un morceau plus petit détaché. Le texte sous-jacent a pu être identifié comme la première partie du martyre des SS. Proclus et Hilaire, qui eut lieu vers 249-251, sous le règne de l’empereur romain Trajan Dèce. Le texte en araméen chrétien palestinien est écrit dans une onciale ancienne (Ve au VIIe s.) et dépend d'un modèle grec plus long perdu. La Passio est maintenant at-testée pour la première fois en traduction araméenne. Elle relève des nouvelles dé-couvertes faites au monastère de Sainte-Catherine sur le Mont Sinaï en 1975. |
