| Summary: | Discourse about ‘the knowledge of things divine’ has been partially reshaped by transposition to the theological field of the lexicon and the methods peculiar to contemporary epistemology. Inspired by these initiatives, this article distinguishes seven main ways of replying to the questions formulated about the very possibility of producing such knowledge, as to the questions arising even before that seek to precisely outline its nature, modalities and boundaries. This will elucidate the connections and fissures through which these models fit into the framework and, at times, the pitfalls, of a world of shared langage. Les discours portant sur « la connaissance des choses divines » ont été partiellement remodelés par la transposition vers le champ théologique du lexique et des méthodes propres à l’épistémologie contemporaine. Inspirée par ces tentatives, cette contribution distingue sept façons principales de répondre aux questions formulées quant à la possibilité même de produire pareille connaissance comme à celles qui, plus avant, cherchent à préciser sa nature, ses modalités et ses frontières. Elle met en évidence les connexions et les fractures au travers desquelles les modèles ici distingués sont inscrits dans la trame et parfois les pièges d’un monde langagier partagé. |
