Description
Summary:The encyclical Laudato si’ is a prophetic call for ecological conversion. While there is no need of questioning this reading, the author analyses the displacement of the conversion discourse by Pope Francis to give it a sapiential turn in order to address non-Christian readers and to pursue, in dialogue, the search for solutions to take care of the common home. However, it is at the heart of this open approach that the intrinsic link between ecological conversion and the confession of faith is maintained, a link represented by the reference to Francis of Assisi, who was both wise and holy. The features of a language of call to ecological conversion according to the Spirit of Jesus Christ, proper to a spirituality lived in a time of post-Christianity, are thus outlined.
