De manera menos general, investigo autores del período de la koiné o griego helenístico cuando el RP y el IRP se utilizaban cada vez más de manera intercambiable, específicamente los responsables de la Torá (LXX) y el Evangelio de Lucas. En dicha aproximación, me pregunto por qué la elección del IRP se hizo para que los lectores pudieran reconocer el valor de su marcación semántica (n~), además de los efectos pragmáticos logrados por esta construcción frente al análisis del discurso. In this paper, I focus on ancient authors and their decision(s) to use the indefinite relative pronoun (/RP) instead of the default (unmarked) relative pronoun (RP). Less generally, I investigate authors from the period of Koine or Hellenistic Greek when the RP and the /RP were increasingly being utilized interchangeably, specifically those responsible for the Torah [LXX} and Luke's Gospel. In this examination, I am asking why the choice of the /RP was made so that readers would be able to recognize the value of its semantic marking (w;) in addition to the pragmatic effects accomplished by this construction vis-a-vis discourse analysis. |
