Description
Summary:The study of theological anthropology and graphology tries to create a sort of synthesis on some of the contents at the basis of Moretti's thought. Girolamo Moretti, beginning with his intuitive abilities, was nourished by academic and self-taught education to create a complete system of study of the person through their handwriting. In fact, from the person's handwriting he drew a clear profile of the personality having an anthropology based on three pillars: man as a psychosomatic unit, the uniqueness of man, and man between innate and acquired. The three dimensions studied form a solid basis for the author's entire anthropological vision; a vision that we can define as personalistic given that Moretti observed the tangible person in his reality, in his historical and holistic truth as a complex, united and harmonious system. However, at the root, a profoundly theological (but not systematic) anthropology is evident because the lineaments of thought, the most important contents, the most common intuitions, are the fruit of theological-spiritual formation and of his sensitivity. In the scientific works of Girolamo Moretti, it is therefore possible to identify clear contents on the theological aspect such as the use of Sacred Scripture and Christian hagiography, the relationship between God and man in its various manifestations, the fight against vices, the virtue as well as holiness and finally mysticism. All this, framed by Moretti's main purpose, is to do good to man, the invariable that has supported his research, his interests, his vocational synthesis as both a priest and as a graphologist.
