Description
Summary:In this article, I present the results of their sociological research relating to declaration of religious faith and religious practices of secondary school students from Kalisz and villages of the region. This study of 955 middle school students realized, including of 636 girls and 319 boys. Overwhelming majority of surveyed high school students accept the dogmas of the Catholic faith and meet mandatory religious practice, or participate in Sunday Mass and Christmas and Easter confession and communion. Religious high school students also participate regularly in religious education in their own schools. The study also showed weak association of religious belief and practice the cult of personal and social lives of girls and boys. Principles of religious faith, accepted by the young people, they have no direct connection with the moral attitudes and behaviors. Such a relationship can be seen only in people deeply religious. The subjects students have got a very shallow religious knowledge, do not know the basic Catholic prayers, the principles of Christian faith and morals, they do not understand the nature and purpose of the Ten Commandments standards. The level of religious awareness is very shallow, especially the religiously neutral and questioning the principle of Catholic faith and morals.
