Description
Summary:Religious practices constitute one of the most analysed plane of the religiosity. Due to the ease of making a precise measurement, they are used as a set of the most objective indicators of the vitality of religion among members of the society. Level of participation speaks about the degree of internalization of norms, rules and principles of faith, relating to the various spheres of life: beliefs, morals, connections with the religious community. Practices can have different character: individual or collective, mandatory or arbitrary, everyday or holistic. Without the collective religious practices it is hard to imagine the existence of any religious organization, because they, along with a system of beliefs, combine into a moral community, as claimed by Durkheim, people of granting to one confession. This article is a presentation of the results of the sociological research, carried out in spring 2010. among 1841 Lublin voivodship high school graduates, and shows the status of the involvement in various religious practices of young people in adult life.
