Description
Summary:In the works related to the role played by Aldo Moro on the Italian political scene their authors attempted more or less to deal precisely with this complex issue. However we still miss a biography based on documents that not raise any controversies. In this article the author attempts to present the role which Aldo Moro played in the shaping of Italian Christian Democrats and to gather and present the most interesting bibliographical positions describing the life stages of the Apulian man of state, that had been published in the past thirty years. The beginnings of the political career of A. Moro and entering the Christian Democratic Party is being most honestly described by professor (and privately the grandson of the Italian prime minister) R. Moro. On the other hand, in the context of the political views presented by the author to the most interesting monographies we may count those presented by G. Carocci, L. Menapace and G. BagetBozzo. Relations of A. Moro with particular fractions and leaders of the Christian Democrats we may find in the research of G. Campanini, A. Giovagnoli and P. Scoppola. The time of leadership of A. Moro in the Christian Democrats, the problem of secularization of this party, and the relations with the Catholic Church are being fully and precisely described mostly by A. Giovagnoli, A. D'Angelo and P. Totaro.
