Summary:Religion as a part of social life is known in the Western culture for centuries. A various definitions of religion, at that time, had given many reasons for its creation. Nowadays, in the era of globalization, this cultural element reveals its previously unknown character. In Europe, it could be observed after 2004, on the example of Polish emigration in Limerick in Ireland. For the latter, it represented not only communication with the deity, institution and directing with it people, but was also kind of identify factor, which help to keep Poles living there an European identity and be a socialization element favoring the integration of indigenous peoples living there and some part of other immigrants belongings to the same religion.
