Description
Summary:The author wants to present a few concepts of Gdańsk philosophy, starting from the reception of "biblical philosophy", through non-scholastic Aristotelianism, to Cartesianism created in that famous Protestant school, which focused mainly on development of philosophy and theology open to research novelties. This research is very significant from the point of view of the 2017 celebrations, to which the entire Christian family is preparing. I want to present a few Gdańsk philosophers (Protestant ministers at the same time) whose treatises, in the same way as the Gdańsk concepts of philosophy in the Protestant spirit, had a significant impact on the development of cultural heritage of Europe. Teaching in European universities was based on Gdańsk philosophical treatises.
