Summary: | Presented work is an attempt to submit the road of Polish-Russian reconciliation in the bosom of the Christian faith and the churches they represent. For this purpose the hierarchs of the Church call for ecumenism. This concept popular from the 20th century was one of the themes of the action of Cyril and Methodius, the Apostles of Slavs. Later during the Second Vatican Council, there has been a great attempt to reconciliation the churches of East and West, which from 1054 and actually from 1204 lived in split. Citing on old-orthodox-slavic legacy Pope John Paul II particularly contributed to the reconciliation between the two churches and Nations. An effect of this, but not at pontificate of the last one, was a call for reconciliation between the two churches and Nations signed by Cyril and Archbishop J. Michalik in 2012. Now is matter of time, if it comes to a real reconciliation between the two churches and Nations. |
