Summary: | This article deals with models of church communion from a free church perspective. After an exegetical foundation, different models of church communion are presented. An example is the Uniting Church of Sweden, which represents an union of three formerly independent churches, including different understandings of baptism. This article asks continuously how much consensus is needed for church communion from a free church perspective. The author offers a conclusion that an elementary doctrinal consensus in Christology or in the common confessing of the Creed could be sufficient. |
