Description
Summary:Since comparative theology involves leaving one's religious home, at least temporarily, to explore other religious traditions to advance the understanding and experience of religious truth, the question of the importance of a particular home tradition has come into question. This article argues for the added value of continued commitment to an existing religious tradition insofar as it provides direction to the work of comparative theology, a community of thinkers who can assist in the process of discernment, and a target audience for theological reflection.
