| Summary: | After a presentation of the current situation of the churches in Germany, the analysis focuses on some recent publications in the area of the philosophy of religion -- with reference to P. Sloterdijk and H. Joas -- and, above all, dogmatics, according to the two major orientations: that of the "theology of revelation "(the Barthian line, today pursued in particular by Ingolf U. Dalferth) and the "liberal tradition" (in the wake of Schleiermacher and Tillich). For the "theology of revelation", Christian faith cannot be mediated in the world; theology must limit itself to describing and testifying to what it believes. In the liberal current, the starting point is the concept of religion. Ample space is devoted to presenting the systematic theology of Ulrich Barth. (English) |
