| Summary: | The book of Job is a text that proposes a set of discussion beyond Israel and its people. It is an ever current and powerful text that questions the established doctrines, highlighting the theme of justice, suffering and religion. In this sense, his reading should be inspiring for a theology that intends to go beyond the logic and established principles. The present study thus extols a theology that develops in the practice of suffering and attempts to re-signify pain without the weight of the sacrifices that keep the schemes of retribution alive in exchange for silence and conformation. The Job we present here is rediscovered in the relationship with God and not in the relations of exchange. O livro de Jó é um texto que propõe um conjunto de discussão para além de Israel e de seu povo. É um texto sempre atual e pujante, que questiona as doutrinas estabelecidas, colocando em destaque o tema da justiça, do sofrimento e da religião. Neste sentido, sua leitura deve ser inspiradora para uma teologia que pretende ir além da lógica e dos princípios estabelecidos. O presente estudo, exalta, portanto, uma teologia que se desenvolve na prática do sofrimento e tenta ressignificar a dor, sem o peso dos sacrifícios que mantém vivos os esquemas de retribuição em troca do silêncio e da conformação.
