| Summary: | Teologia da libertação (TdL) soa ligação com a esquerda no sentido de criticar as alianças entre as Igrejas e a burguesia e a situação de opressão da sociedade capitalista. Ela se pôs na ótica do pobre e na perspectiva utópica socialista. A nova situação sociopolítica e religiosa tornou problemáticas a existência e a vinculação entre a teologia da libertação e a esquerda. Pretende-se no artigo responder a tal inquietação. A TdL mantém atualidade mesmo na crise do político, da práxis e em face da nova figura do pobre, como proximidade da morte. A esquerda católica entende-se no contexto de conflito dos idos de 60 que continua até hoje. A Igreja católica abre-se para tal situação sob o impacto do Concílio Vaticano II, da Conferência de Medellín. A Igreja católica no seu conjunto e a esquerda católica no seu seio se beneficiaram mutuamente. A teologia da libertação serviu de expressão e ponte entre ambas. Liberation Theology invokes a connection with the Left, in the sense of criticizing the alliances between the Churches and the bourgeoisie and the situation of oppression in the capitalist society. It took the point of view of the poor and the utopian socialist perspective. The new socio-political and religious situation turned the existence and the connection between Liberation Theology and the Left problematic. This article intends to respond to such concern. Liberation Theology maintains its presentness even in the crisis of political, of the praxis and in the face of the new image of the poor, seen as proximity of death. The Catholic Left understands itself in the context of conflict back in the 1960s, which continues today. The Catholic Church opens itself to this situation under the impact of Vatican II, the Conference of Medellin. The Catholic Church as a whole and the Catholic left within it have benefited from each other. Liberation theology served as expression and bridge between both of them. |
