| Summary: | El Concilio de Trento, como un medio para limitar la autonomía de los cabildos de las catedrales, concibió la figura de los adjuntos. Estos adjuntos, elegidos anualmente entre los miembros de la corporación, debían juzgar con el obispo a los capitulares acusados de cometer algún crimen. En el presente artículo se estudia esta figura en las actas capitulares de la diócesis del Antiguo Tucumán en el período 1592 - 1699. A través de esta investigación se tratará de determinar la presencia de estos actores canónicos y su actuación en una diócesis periférica de la Monarquía Católica. Se busca, además, realizar una aproximación al ejercicio de la potestad jurisdiccional de los cabildos. The Council of Trent, as a way to limit the autonomy of the cathedral chapters, conceived the figure of the deputies. These deputies, elected annually from among the members of the corporation, were to judge with the bishop the capitulants accused of committing some crime. In the present article this figure is studied in the capitular records of the Diocese of the Old Tucumán in the period 1592 - 1699. Through this investigation we will try to determine the presence of these canonical actors and their performance in a peripheral diocese of the Monarchy Catholic. It is also sought to make an approximation to the exercise of the jurisdictional power of the councils. |
