| Summary: | In our time, for some reason, it is commonly believed that the Ukrainian language does not use the word "ad" for the reason that it, firstly, is probably Russian and in the Ukrainian vocabulary it has never been, and secondly, on the basis that exists his match is -please. In other words, the position advocated, according to which in the Ukrainian language the Greek word-guade (hell) stands out exclusively the word -plex. However, observing the etymology of the Ukrainian word - hell (more specifically, it is a matter of going somewhat below), we note that it is not always possible to speak in its content. У наш час чомусь прийнято вважати, що в українській мові не вживається слово ―ад з тієї причини, що воно, по-перше, буцімто є російським і в українській лексиці його ніколи не було, а по-друге, на тій підставі, що існує його відповідник - ―пекло. Іншими словами, обстоюється позиція, згідно з якою в українській мові еквівалентом грецького ―гадес (ад) виступає виключно слово ―пекло. Втім, відслідковуючи етимологію українського слова ― пекло (конкретніше про це мова бути йти дещо нижче), відзначимо, що воно за своїм змістом таким не завжди може виступати. |
