| Summary: | Theology can be considered a specific culture of self-expression, self-determination and self-justification of certain denominations. Christianity defines itself as the "religion of atonement" or the "religion of the Cross", as evidenced by the words of the apostle Paul: "We preach the crucified Christ." The idea of redemption is a central idea without which it is impossible to understand the Christian tradition. Therefore, for theology, conceptualizing the idea of atonement means directing intellectual efforts to identify and justify the essential side of Christianity. For academic religious studies, the study of the theological concept of redemption has a dual meaning: first, it allows to understand the essential aspect of the Christian religion, and secondly, to understand the theological culture of thinking. Богослов’я можна вважати специфічною культурою самовираження, самовизначення та самовиправдання тих чи інших конфесій. Християнство самовизначає себе як «релігія спокути» чи «релігія Хреста», що засвідчують слова слова апостола Павла: «Ми проповідуємо Христа розіп’ятого». Ідея спокути - центральна ідея, без осмислення якої неможливе розуміння християнської традиції. Тому для богослов’я концептуалізація ідеї спокути означає спрямування інтелектуальних зусиль на визначення та виправдання сутнісної сторони християнства. Для академічного релігієзнавства вивчення богословської концепції спокути має подвійне значення: по-перше, дозволяє осмислити сутнісну сторону християнської релігії, а по-друге - зрозуміти богословську культуру мислення. |
