Despite the doubts that may arise in the predictions of D. Barrett and others, it is difficult to deny that the success of Pentecostal / charismatic missionary activity in the second half of the twentieth century was spectacular. Найдинамічнішим сегментом протестантського анклаву ХХ ст. вважають п’ятидесятницький рух. Його межі та строкатість значно відкорегували глобальний релігійний атлас. За деякими підрахунками кількість послідовників різноманітних п'ятидесятницьких спільнот на межі тисячоліть сягнула від 400 до 600 млн. послідовників75. Незважаючи на сумніви, які можуть виникнути стосовно прогнозів Д.Баррета та інших, важко заперечувати те, що успіх п'ятидесятницької/харизматичної місіонерської діяльності в другій половині ХХ століття був вражаючим. |
