| Summary: | On September 27, 1595, two Ukrainian bishops, having received from the Ukrainian-Belorussian Episcopate all powers and having letters from the Nuncio and the King to the Pope and Cardinal Secretary, went on a long journey to Rome. On October 26 they were already on the Italian territory. Bypassing Venice, they stay in Padua, where the local bishop congratulates them holy and heartfelt, endowing their lunch for several days. 27 вересня 1595 року два українські єпископи, одержавши від українськобілоруського єпископату всі повноваження та маючи листи від нунція і короля до папи та кардинала-секретаря, вирушили в далеку дорогу до Риму. 26 жовтня вони опинились вже на італійській території. Обминаючи Венецію, затримуються в Падуї, де місцевий єпископ вітає їх святочно та сердечно, обдаровуючи своєю гостиною декілька днів. |
