| Summary: | Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a trajetória de formação das religiosas que estiveram vinculadas à Província Imaculada Conceição, pertencente à Congregação das Irmãzinhas da Imaculada Conceição. O foco são as práticas educativas e culturais adotadas por elas para se apropriarem das mudanças trazidas pela Igreja e sociedade na década de 1960. A hipótese é que a garimpagem de fontes documentais inéditas permite trazer ao conhecimento processos formativos que foram mantidos no subsolo da história da Vida Consagrada feminina no Brasil, deixando muitas mulheres invisíveis no movimento de transformação da Igreja e de si mesmas. A linha teórico-metodológica adotada para analisar a documentação é a do paradigma indiciário de Ginzburg (1989), que sugere ler nas entrelinhas para valorizar achados aparentemente marginais. São utilizadas também entrevistas com irmãs antigas que narraram sobre os estudos realizados na primeira metade do século XX. Os resultados apontam que a renovação da Vida Consagrada, estimulada pela Igreja, foi gerada pelo investimento na educação das freiras e aguçada capacidade tática de elas se (auto) educarem com autonomia, apesar da ideologia conservadora (anticomunista) que permeava sua formação. This article aims to analyze the training trajectory of the religious who were linked to the Imaculada Conceição Province, belonging to the Congregation of the Little Sisters of the Imaculada Conceição. The focus is on the educational and cultural practices adopted by them to take ownership of the changes brought about by the Church and society in the 1960s. The hypothesis is that the mining of unpublished documentary sources allows bringing to knowledge formative processes that were kept underground in the history of female Consecrated Life in Brazil, leaving many women invisible in the movement of transformation of the Church and of themselves. The theoretical-methodological line adopted to analyze the documentation is that of Ginzburg’s evidentiary paradigm (1989), which suggests reading between the lines to value apparently marginal findings. Interviews are also used with old sisters who narrated about the studies carried out in the first half of the 20th century. The results indicate that the renewal of Consecrated Life, stimulated by the Church, was generated by investment in nuns’ education and their sharp tactical ability to (self) educate themselves with autonomy despite the conservative ideology (anti-communist) that permeated their formation. |
