| 总结: | At the time Jean-Marie Le Pen was party leader of the Front National, the proximity of his movement to the Catholic Integrists was particularly obvious. Since the takeover of the party by his daughter, Marine Le Pen, the relation of the National Front to religion has changed - at least at the level of the party leadership. The new party leader has distanced herself and her movement from the Catholic Integrists. She wants to gain a reputation as an advocate for the French Republic and for the principle of laïcité. At the same time, French Right-wing populism has an obvious religious dimension. Nach einer langen Zeit enger Verbindungen zwischen dem Front National - heute Rassemblement National - und den katholischen Traditionalisten versucht die Partei heute, sich aus politisch-strategischen Gründen als beste Verfechterin der Laizität, also einer scharfen Trennung von Staat und Religion, zu profilieren. Damit will man den Islam mit einer Waffe, die ursprünglich aus dem linken Lager stammt, bekämpfen, ohne die Verbindung zum traditionellen Katholizismus ganz zu kippen. Zugleich wird der religiöse Charakter des französischen Rechtspopulismus offensichtlich. |
