| Summary: | In diesem Aufsatz wird die textkritische Interpretation von Bénédicte Lemmelijn (und anderen Wissenschaftlern) zu Exod 11,2-3 und der "Plünderung der Ägypter" (d.h. Ex 3,22-23; 12,36) wieder aufgegriffen. Die textkritische Analyse bietet dank der Rolle eines Vetus Latina-Zeugen (Vindobonensis) eine neue Perspektive. Meiner Meinung nach sind die Textunterschiede zwischen den Zeugen (MT, SP, Qumran, LXX, Vg und VL) nicht das Ergebnis von Übersetzungstechniken, sondern sie sind auf eine unterschiedliche hebräische Vorlage zurückzuführen. Was die literarkritischen Aspekte betrifft, so schlage ich vor, dass das Motiv der "Plünderung der Ägypter" nicht zu P gehört, sondern ein literarisches Motiv aus der Zeit vor P und außerhalb von P ist. This paper revisits Bénédicte Lemmelijn’s (and other scholars) text critical interpretation on Exod 11:2-3 and the ‘Despoiling of the Egyptians’ (i.e., Exod 3:22-23; 12:36). The text critical analysis offers a new outlook thank to the role of a Vetus Latina’ witness (Vindobonensis). In my opinion the textual differences among the witnesses (MT, SP, Qumran, LXX, Vg, and VL) are not the result of translation techniques, but they are due to a different Hebrew Vorlage. On the literary critical aspects, I suggest that the ‘Despoiling of the Egyptians’ motif does not belong to P, but it is a non-P and pre-P literary motif. |
